First and foremost I would like to thank TGB Outfitters for their unbelievable hospitality and participation in the 2005 Great Hunt Give away. Their accommodations are first class; the food was spectacular and the staff was excellent. Everyone there made you feel right at home.


In all my years of hunting I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone more excited than Jim Parkins was during this hunt. Every day Jim came in from hunting he would be smiling from ear to ear and sharing the events of the hunt. Everyone in camp was sure that Jim was working on achieving the “Argentina Grand Slam”, a title we created just because of his success. Jim, who is an excellent hunter was able successfully harvest a handsome 12 point Red Stag, a beautiful Black Buck, a Wild Boar and a Grey Fox .The only thing missing from his quest was to hunt Water Buffalo and we simply ran out of time or I’m sure he would have been successful at harvesting one. As for myself, I was able to take a nice 11 point Red Stag, and two Wild Boars weighing in at 250 & 300 pounds.

This was truly a fantastic hunt and I think that Jim would agree with me when I say that there is nothing better than arriving back at camp after a long days hunt and sitting down with our newly acquired friends to meal of finely prepared Red Stag back straps and fresh pork.
